The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Isaiah 25. verse 5 and 6.

The ever increasing rate of natural disasters occurring around the globe could not have come at a worse time. As global warming increases and the climate continues to change at an alarming rate, the consequences of natural phenomena like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions around the planet will only serve to worsen a world wide situation that is clearly getting out of hand. Nobody, it seems, except a handful of environmentalists, appear to see the global implications of catastrophic events over which we have no control. The most destructive forces on the planet are not man-made but natural. A volcanic eruption can release a great deal more energy than the worlds entire nuclear arsenal, as can a major earthquake. Over the last few years we have seen the incredible destruction that can be caused by earthquakes and volcanoes, as well as hurricanes, typhoons and tropical storms, initiating flooding on a Biblical scale, and leaving the inhabitants of these areas without homes, food and the basic essentials for life. Scientists are now in agreement with many of the once vilified "doom merchants" of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth in admitting that "global warming" does exist, greenhouse gasses are having a serious affect on the planets ecological systems, the ice-caps are melting , water levels are rising, the hydrological system of the planet is in a state of flux and climate change is accelerating. When it comes to the environment, the good news is that we are more aware of the effects of our behavior than we were a few decades ago. The bad news is that once global warming reaches crisis proportions too difficult for World leaders to ignore, any corrective measures they put in place may well take several more decades to make any difference. The conclusion The Cassandra Prophecy reaches is quite simple. We are in deep trouble.
